Feeding the wee boy

12/08/2010: Half way through year 2010!

Hello everyone.
What a crazy year 2010. Already half way. As you can guess, Louis has been growing really fast. He's 16 months old and 87 cm tall. He can walk and he's trying really hard to talk now.
I have been traveling all around the world for my job almost half of the first 5 months so updating the site was not on the high priority.
Anyway, thanks to the summer holidays, things are calmer.
We were so happy to have Matthieu and his girlfriend Phan here in Toulouse and they took wonderful pictures of Louis.
Let me share a couple with you guys.

Merry Xmas!

27/12/2009: Merry Christmas and happy new year 2010!!

Just a quick word to all of you to wish you a great new year 2010. We had great Xmas party with all my family in Toulouse and we were all really spoiled with presents. Thanks to all of you who sent us Xmas cards. They are all sitting on top of the fireplace so we can have a look at them every day.

25/11/2009: Louis is 7 months and growing fast!

Hi everyone,

Well I guess 6 months is a good time to give some news about us. Louis is now a little boy more than a baby. It's amazing how fast he is growing and keeps his mom busy.
I uploaded a few other pictures here:

Hello! I am Louis!

28/05/2009: The first month of Louis

Hi everyone.

Yes, maybe you guessed we were kinda busy during the last months... Please welcome on this planet Louis, the new third member of our family. He's born last month (3,750kg for 52cm) and everything went really well. I can't believe it's been one one month already. He's growing fast and eating well. He's a really nice baby (so far) and he is crying only when he is hungry, which makes things a bit easier to handle. In addition, I took the whole month of May off, so I can help Youlee, and I am really enjoying it.

Another picture of Louis here: Second picture of Louis.

18/01/09: Happy new year 2009 from New York!!

All the best to you guys for this new year 2009! We thought we could have one last trip before the baby arrives. So we went to visit our excellent friends Gavin and Rika from Belfast, now working in Manhattan. They were fabulous hosts (thank you!) and we had fantastic time, eventhough temperature dropped sometime below -10 deg Celcius. We could even met our good old friend Marilia from Austin, TX that we haven't met for many many years! Take care Marilia and come to see us in France!

15/12/2008: Baby boy on the way!!

Major news for us guys. Baby boy on the way. Arrival scheduled end of April 2009!! We are still looking for a name. Youlee is doing great, as well as the baby.
Gardening

20/11/2008: Winter is coming.

Hi everyone! Just a quick update to say we are still there. Winter is coming here in France and it's time do some gardening and cut the trees in front of our house!

23/08/2008: My sister is getting maried!!

Wow, too many updates for this month! Yes, my lovely younger sister got maried today! I'm so happy for her and she looks stunning in her dress. All the best for you guys!

11/08/08: Summer break

Finaly a well deserved summer break. Well, two actually. Youlee and I went to Spain. Two weeks in July and two weeks in August. Just enough for youlee to be totally sun tanned, and for me to be sunburned!

3/08/08: Some quality time

Summer is here, and as the weather gets warmer, we are having some fine moments outside in the garden, although it still needs some work. Here is Youlee painting behind the house, and you can see the tomatoes and other vegetables she's growing.
05/01/08 : Happy New Year 2008!!
Another year passed. Welcome to 2008! And all the best to you all for this new year!
Happy new year 2008
Me and Cara 20/12/2007: A new family member
Major event here with the arrival of a new family member: please welcome CARA! She's a lovely 2 months old newfoundland and she's already feeling at home! She'll be staying with my dad as his last dog died a few months ago.

5/11/2007: November break in Prague
Youlee and I took a short break for one week in Prague. After a full year spent in Toulouse, and my ectic work, it was great to have a small romantic trip all together in this absolutely gorgeous and fantastic city. The only problem; there's so many things to see that we had to walk for 7 hours every day and now we're exhausted. Good news, I took an extra one week off to recover from the previous one week vacation :-).

Here are some more pictures: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

11/08/2007 : New House update

WHAT!? Already mid august?! I can't believe how time is flying. Probably because we worked like mad inside the house. Completely rebuilt the kitchen and bathroom, repainted entirely inside the house and some parts outside. It was really crazy. Well, we are starting to see the light at the end and we are just starting to enjoy normal evenings without paint on the face or some power tools scattering the floor.
Here are two pictures taken from outside:

08/05/07: New house! Soon moving out again!

Yes, Youlee and I bought a house not very far from where we are living now. It's not huge, but it's looking real nice, very traditionnal French like, with french windows, a fireplace, 3 bedrooms and a small garden. There's hardly some painting or other work to do.
Here are a couple of pictures (not great ones, weather was not great):

09/04/07: Still there in the South of France!

Yes, that's a long time with no news. We are currently enjoying the nice and warm weather we have lately. Traveling across the region as it is filled with really fantastic places. Old 16th century villages, high mountains, deep canyons, and the city of Toulouse of course, a great lively place.
Here's a few recent pictures:

Near Andong in Korea 15/01/2007: Happy new Year 2007!!
Hi all! All our best wishes for this new year 2007!
We were in Korea for this new year. I'm back in Toulouse but Youlee will still be there with her family until the end of the month. It was really cold out there. But we had a lot of fun and it was great to see Youlee's family again. They are really kind people. I had time to relax and clear my brain from my work in Toulouse.
Ah! Yes. Thanks for the cards some of you guys sent to us.
Magali with MY catch! 21/10/2006: Enjoying South of France
Wow, this is mad. We are almost in November and temperatures here in Toulouse are around 24 / 25 degrees C. Quite a change from Northern Ireland! We are still wearing T Shirts and it looks like it's not gonna change for the next couple of weeks. So we decided to go and look for some mushrooms in the nearby mountains (Pyrennees). Check out the latest pictures of our daytrip with Youlee, my sister and my brother in law! By the way, checkout my sister's blog: The Gaillette's blog

Ah, yes. Thanks to a not so perfect transition to a new server, I lost all my guestbook entries!! Pleaaase sign it again !!(in English or French, it doesn't matter).
26/09/2006: Moving to our new house
OK, we are back online again. This time we found a nice and quite large house (well, compared to what we were used to, it's quite large!). We even have a garden where we have breakfast or lunch as the weather is really nice here, even in September. The house is located about 20 minutes from Toulouse city center and 15 minutes from the airport. It is quite close too to my work, so really nothing to complain about, except the cleaning which takes a lot more time than when we where living in an appartment. Looking forward to see you guys here!
Our new house!
Toulouse center along the Garonne river 03/07/06: Changing place AGAIN! Heading south...
Moving out is so much fun (...), that we are doing it again! Heading south, down to the beautiful city of Toulouse! New job, new place, new life for us. Hey, we can use some warmth and sun after all these years in Ireland! ;-) We'll really move all our stuff from Paris in September, but for the time being, we have to find a place to live, and enjoy the summer in the south of France, and the proximity of Spain too!
Happy Easter!! 15/04/06: Happy Easter holidays!
Hello everybody, and a very happy Easter weekend or holidays (depends on how lucky you are :-) ).
As we are concerned, here in France, only this Monday is holiday. But most of people would have the whole week off (not me!).
Anyway, there might be a big news coming for Youlee and I (not a baby yet). I'll tell you more in the coming weeks... shhht!

29/03/06: Slooooowly back online

Wow, more than a month already and we are still not completely online. Well, not from our new appartment a least. Everything is going soooo slowly here. This is really terrible. And there's so much paper to give before anything can be done. It is very frustrating. Not to mention poor weather and strikes in Paris. Well at least our new place is nice and the food is finaly GREAT (yes! Some positive points!).

moving out! 15/02/06: We are moving out!
All right. Everything is now sorted out. We found a really nice appartment south of Paris, in a place called Antony, about 25 minutes from Paris. It's really convenient to go to my work from here, and the place looks real nice, clean and active. We'll tell you more about that later.
Anyway, the plan is to move out from Belfast by the end of next week, fly to Paris then move in the following week. During this time, there will be no internet or email of course. Don't forget to use our new email adress. And feel free to leave some messages on this website while we are away. That would be real nice.
25/01/06: Destination Paris!
That's it. Less than 5 weeks left before moving out, and it really looks like our destination is Paris. This wasn't our favourite option but well, it's not too bad. At least, we are heading the right way: South!
We are not sure where in or around Paris we will live, but we'll let you know of course. We already are looking forward to see you guys there!
We are going to Paris!
Hellooo 2006! Last year in Belfast! 15/01/06: Happy New Year 2006!!
Here we go! As you guys might know, we are about to leave Northern Ireland after 4 years in Belfast. In order to keep in touch with all of you, here is a webspace for you (and us) that should stay there for a while, I hope, no matter where we are. And hey, I hope you appreciate the address: http://gaillet.net! How simple is that!
We'll probably add more contents later, but for now, we are leaving UK back to France. So next month is going to be really busy!!

Salut vous deux, ou vous plutôt vous trois.
Finalement on a guère plus d'info en entrant avec un mot de passe que sans mot de passe et d'userid.

Bises du papa.

Happy new year!
